Frequently Asked Questions
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes! I am currently welcoming new clients and would be happy to support you in navigating life’s challenges.
What clients do you see?
I provide virtual therapy for young adults and adults navigating anxiety, burnout, depression, emotional overwhelm, identity shifts, life transitions, relationship issues, school issues, self-esteem, and stress. I also specialize in grief therapy, offering dedicated support for those experiencing loss and bereavement.
What clients do you not see?
I do not provide therapy for children, couples, or families, and I do not treat eating disorders, psychotic disorders, or personality disorders. Additionally, due to state licensing requirements, I only provide services to clients residing in Florida.
What insurance plans do you accept?
I am in-network with a variety of major insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Florida Blue, UnitedHealthcare, and others. I also offer self-pay options and can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
What if I don’t have insurance or don’t want to use my insurance?
I offer self-pay options at $125 per 50-minute appointment. My goal is to make therapy accessible and convenient, so you can get the support you need regardless of your insurance situation.
How long are appointments?
Appointments are 50 minutes, giving us time to explore your concerns, process emotions, and work on practical strategies in a focused and supportive way.
Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes! All appointments are conducted virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. Virtual therapy allows you to attend from home, work, or anywhere you feel comfortable. I do not currently offer in-person appointments.
How do I request an appointment?
To request an appointment, click here or use the ‘client portal’ tab at the top of the navigation bar. If you’d like, you can also request a free 15-minute consultation beforehand to ask questions and see if we’re a good fit.
What is a consultation?
A consultation is a free 15-minute appointment where you can ask questions about therapy, learn about my approach, and determine if we’re a good fit. It’s optional—you can schedule a regular therapy appointment directly if you prefer. The consultation is a soft, low-pressure way to explore whether therapy with me is right for you. It is conducted virtually, just like regular appointments.
What is your cancelation and no-show policy?
I require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Your scheduled time is reserved specifically for you, as I do not double-book. Late cancellations, changes with insufficient notice, or missed appointments will be charged a $75 fee per appointment.
Do you provide ESA letters?
Yes, I can provide an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letter for clients who meet the necessary criteria. ESA letters are $125 per letter and are not covered by insurance. These letters support individuals in managing emotional or mental health challenges and comply with legal requirements.
Do you prescribe medication?
No, I do not prescribe medication. However, I do work collaboratively with clients who are taking medication as part of their mental health care and can provide a referral to a qualified prescriber if needed. I can also support you in understanding how therapy and medication can work together to help you reach your goals.
